About Texas Tech Physicians of Lubbock

Texas Tech Physicians of Lubbock is part of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. Our medical group had approximately 280,000 patient encounters in 2010. Our clinics are located in southwest, east and central Lubbock. With engaged and motivated health care professionals and staff, we strive to provide patients with high-quality, safe health care services.

Receiving care in a medical school setting is unique in that attending physicians treating patients are also teachers. They must remain up to date on new treatments and diagnostics, not only to care for patients, but also to pass on that knowledge to resident physicians, physicians studying in fellowship and medical students.

Patients may be seen individually by a faculty member, attending physician, or in conjunction with resident physicians or students. Resident physicians are always accompanied and supervised by attending physicians.
